About Us

MentorScope Community Outreach is dedicated to providing outreach, education, and technical assistance services to students and agricultural producers across the Midwest and Southern regions of the United States. As a minority-owned and woman-owned business, MentorScope specializes in reaching vulnerable populations, particularly historically underserved and socially disadvantaged farmers, ranchers, and landowners in limited resource areas. Our mission is to empower these individuals and communities by equipping them with the necessary knowledge, resources, and support to be successful in the agricultural industry while promoting sustainable farm practices.

At MentorScope, our teams of highly skilled professionals, including marketing consultants, outreach coordinators, and conservation experts, cover multi-state regions to educate farmers about opportunities in agriculture, available USDA Farm Bill programs and services, and Climate-Smart conservation practices. These dedicated teams conduct a wide range of outreach activities, including hands-on workshops, live farm demonstrations, and virtual events, to engage directly with farmers and provide them with valuable insights and practical knowledge.

One of the significant strengths of MentorScope is our ability to forge partnerships and establish connections between farmers and the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) offices. Through our technical assistance services, MentorScope ensures that farmers have seamless access to the services and resources provided by NRCS, guaranteeing their successful integration into beneficial programs. By facilitating this direct connection, MentorScope plays a crucial role in ensuring that farmers can leverage the support and expertise of NRCS to sustainably enhance their farm operations.

In addition to our work with farmers, MentorScope also actively collaborates with schools and student groups, introducing youth to exciting career opportunities in agriculture and educating them about farming and conservation practices. By fostering early exposure and engagement, MentorScope aims to inspire the next generation of agricultural professionals, creating a pathway for their success and cultivating a sustainable future for the industry.

MentorScope's extensive experience in reaching farmers is evident through our achievements over the past year. Our dedicated outreach teams have traveled to nearly 10 states, actively conducting and/or participating in more than 60 outreach events, including live hands-on workshops, virtual seminars, and farm demonstrations. Through these efforts, MentorScope has directly influenced farmers' decisions, resulting in increased sign-ups for NRCS and Farm Service Agency (FSA) programs. These programs provide much-needed resources and support to farmers, assisting them in overcoming challenges and achieving sustainable growth.
